Puma v1.08 or Nike Laser ll with K-leather?

I've tried both of these cleats on and there my favorite. the puma is very snug and light which i like. However, I play defense and midfield so i need protection. The Laser offer the 2nd best fit, protection, and a cover lacing system. The salesmen recommend the lasers, but I like the puma's better. However, because of my position its tough. Any advice?
