What type of punishment should this marine get for killing this puppy?

I saw this video on the evening news and almost threw up at the sight of it. I can not even imagine why ANYONE would want to do this to any leaving creature. A life is a life is a life, and when you take a life you should be punished. They should be dishonorably discharged and shamed by all of their peers. Even if this is a hoax, they should be ashamed of themselves for even thinking about doing that to a helpless animal. It really makes me sick. And animal cruelty laws today are a joke! Both people involved should be put in jail for what theyve done
