52 pubs a week closing in Britain ?

If all the pubs in Britain closed it would make little difference to the anti social behaviour exhibited on our main streets each week. Nor would placing a minimum price on alcohol, it would be just another stealth tax that the government will try to sell in a response to crimes of drunkenness thinking that electorate would support it, they would not. Why should the vast majority of the population suffer for the crimes of a few when we all know the proper response would be to lock these criminals up for a very long time to deter the rest from carrying on. This government in its arrogance and quest for more and more taxes is changing the social culture of this country we no regard to its history, maybe it is time that this lot went and went soon. They will go down in history as the government with the golden chance that turned out to be without ideas, direction and complete fraudsters.
